Mrs. Whedon believes that the counselor’s role in the school is to promote the emotional, social, and educational development of all children. As the counselor, she assists in meeting the special needs of children, promotes a positive school atmosphere, teaches classroom guidance lessons, counsels individual students, meets with small groups, consults with teachers, confers with parents, and helps in a crisis.
