  Students served in Crescent’s Specialized Instruction program have Individualized Educational Programs to target their specific goals to improve identified academic or behavioral needs. Students are taught in a variety of methods, including small group, co-taught in the general education setting, one-on-one support, and through the use of Technology. In Specialized Instruction, you may find our students working on group projects, improving Reading Fluency and Reading Comprehension skills, striving to improve Math Calculation and Problem Solving skills, or learning how to become better learners by organizing materials, and self-monitoring their behavior. Students are assessed through observation, behavioral checklists, and weekly data collection to determine when goals are accomplished and needs are met.
