What Is PBIS?

PBIS is a program that helps improve student academic and behavior outcomes. PBIS is an acronym that stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Support. It is a school-wide integration of:

• A systems approach for building capacity

• A continuum of behavioral supports

• Prevention focused efforts

• Instructionally focused behavior

• Empirically sound practices

• Data information analyzed and utilized on a frequent basic
