Thank you for your interest in the Griffin-Spalding County School System’s KIDS IN ACTION Elementary After-School Program (ASP)!
“Fuel your child’s curiosity and energy!" Our after-school program offers fun, engaging activities every day, paired with nutritious snacks to keep little minds and bodies energized. A safe, welcoming space where learning, creativity, and healthy habits come together!”

Announcements:
Review of enrollment for 2026-2027 school year will start April 01, 2026. All parents of selected students for enrollment will be notified via email and phone. All students not selected for enrollment will remain on an active waitlist.
Waitlist: Parents will be contacted as vacancies become available. Please complete the 2026-2027 Elementary After-School Waitlist to be added to the waitlist.
After-School Program Information
Mission: “Nurturing every student’s mind, body, and heart in a safe, supportive environment.”
Program Site Locations:
Programs are currently located within the following Griffin-Spalding Elementary Schools: Cowan Road, Crescent, Futral Road, Jackson Road, Jordan Hill, Moreland Road and Orrs. Students attending Anne Street, Atkinson, Beaverbrook, and Moore may also participate in the program. Anne Street and Moore students are transported to Orrs. Atkinson students are transported to Jordan Hill. Beaverbrook students are transported to Cowan Road. Our program serves PK-5th grade students.
*Please note that program locations are determined by enrollment numbers and may be subject to change depending on the needs assessed.
Times of Operation:
The program operates each day school is in session from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Daily Schedule:
The daily schedule includes a nutritious snack, a designated homework/academic time and planned enrichment activities.
Registration:
The registration fee is $10.00 per child per school year.
Tuition:
Tuition is $60.00 per week for the first child and $40.00 for each additional child. Tuition is due by Monday of the week of service. All tuition is paid through the online portal MySchoolBucks. com.
*Late Fee: $15.00 per week of unpaid tuition
*Discounts are given for weeks that include school holidays at a rate of $5.00 per day/per child.
*Please note that we are not offering drop-in registration at this time.
Registration Process:
Students must be enrolled in the Griffin Spalding County Schools District before completing any paperwork for the afterschool program.
Parents/Guardians must add their student(s) to the waitlist to be considered, for the program.
All students from the waitlist will be considered for available slots at requested school.
Parents will be notified if their student has been assigned at there enrolled school's After-School Program.
During the notification process to the parent of their student(s) being accepted into the program; parents will be given directions on how to complete the registration process .
Any student(s) placed on the waitlist after final student enrollment selection will be remain on the waitlist and are selected in the order they are received. Parents of selected students will be notified if an opening becomes available.
